John P. Lacey presided over the 34th Annual
Meeting of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey
and the United States District Court for the District of New
Jersey. The event was attended by more than 400 of New
Jersey’s Federal practitioners, attorneys from the Office of
the United States Attorney and the judges and magistrate
judges of the District Court. Mr. Lacey is the President of
the Federal Bar, which represents more than 800 members who
practice in the federal courts.

B. O'Reilly was a panelist at the 34th Annual
Meeting. The panel on which O'Reilly spoke addressed civil
discovery issues in cases pending in the District of New
Jersey. O'Reilly offered practical alternatives to the time
consuming and expensive process of conducting privilege
reviews and preparing privilege logs in the modern discovery
era in light of the electronic discovery requirements of the
Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
