Regulated Community Faces Stricter Controls

Dave Mairo, associate in the Environmental Law and Regulatory Compliance/Land Use Group, authored an article for the October 24, 2005 edition of New Jersey Law Journal. In "Regulated Community Faces Stricter Controls," Mr. Mairo addresses the state's Soil Remediation Standards (SRSs), released in July 2004 by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. If adopted, the SRSs will replace the Department's Soil Cleanup Criteria (SCC) guidance. Mr. Mairo reviews the various concerns related to the new standards and how, if implemented, they could affect various parties. The entire article is available here.
